Philipp Gunz (* 1975 in Linz) hat an der Universität Wien Human-Biologie/Anthropologie studiert und promovierte 2001 zum Mag. rer.nat und 2005 mit einer Doktorarbeit: „Statistical and geometric reconstruction of hominid crania: reconstructing australopithecine ontogeny“ (Anleitung: G.W. Weber, F.L. Bookstein and H. Seidler) zum PhD.
